Lindisfarne Castle on Holy Island in Northumberland is not exactly what it seems. Built in Tudor times around 1550, it was renovated in the early 20th century by the famous architect Edward Lutyens. He transformed it into an Edwardian holiday home. Similarly the old boats have also been transformed, now serving as useful storage sheds for the locals.
