These wonderful beach huts at Blyth in Northumberland certainly add some colour.  There are twenty of them, available for hire for £60 a day.  They date from Victorian times when the railway gave access to many from towns and cities across the land.  Day trips to the beach became feasible for many! Similar huts can still be found in many seaside resorts.
