Legend has it that this is the 40 tonne rock that ended the life of Ruscaire the great Irish giant of Snow & Ice. The stone was hurled across Carlingford Lough by his more famous rival, the giant of Summer, Finn McCool. Sadly for Finn, the huge effort launching the huge boulder, brought about his sudden demise as well! The stone stands overlooking Warrenpoint and Rostrevor at the top of the Cloughmore Trail in Kilbroney Park in Rostrevor.
