Black Lake in Killarney is one of five lakes in the Black Valley, leading to the Gap of Dunloe. The strawberry tree (Arbutus unedo) is a native of Kerry and provides splashes of colour around the lakes. Be warned though the fruit is not just as tasty as you might expect, the latin 'unedo' means eat only one!
